English version
Summary, I’m an English teacher with a Bachelor’s degree. I have 4 years of experience of teaching English to teenagers aged 14-15 and beyond that age. I also have a background of teaching adults. Obviously, the lessons should be age appropriate and relevant. Currently I am working on that, reading articles and blogs, like “How to teach ESL: Differences for Children and Adults” and examining some age-related features.
As for courses, I attended some refresher courses in SKYSMART: “How to personalize lessons”, “The relationship between teachers and students”, “Feedback to parents”, “Teaching module: Junior”, “State exam(EGE) course”, “How to retain students”.
As for professional self-development, I watch Edx, follow some Youtube channels as “Real English”, “English with Cambridge”, “Real Speaking Success”, LinguaTrip TV“, attend teaching vebinars, periodically read “Learning Teaching by Jim Scrivener” and “How to teach English by Jeremy Harmer”, “IH Journal” ect..
Speaking of materials, I teach courses in accordance with recommended textbooks, like “Go getter”, “English File”, and also resort to other tools (apps and sites) as quizlet, TED talks, Reading news, Grammarly.com, Learning apps. iSlcollective, ect..
Talking of my personal strengths, I am committed to making lessons more diverse. I’m searching for present-day materials on an ongoing basis. I try to stay tuned and keep up to dates with the latest advances in the field of English. At the lessons I encourage students to express their ideas verbally and through writing and, being a goal-oriented person, I provide them with tasks to ensure they excel in their language studies. At the end of the lesson I try to give a constructive feedback and reflect on what we’ve learned. Apart from language skills I focus on developing critical thinking. But the main thing is that I have a passion for English, so I can convey it to students and keep them engaged in the course material.
At the moment I’m aiming to take CAE and TKT to upgrade the skills.
